You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.A little transcription of Schumann’s delightful ’Von fremden landern und menschen’; arranged for the unusual combination of different pitched Oboes, called an Oboe Consort.
This term was coined by the eminent English Oboist Jennifer Paul, and I hope she will not mind me using her terminology!
Movements:Von fremden Landern und Menschen (Of Foreign Lands and Peoples), G major Kuriose Geschichte (A Curious Story), D major Hasche-Mann (Blind Man’s Bluff), B minor Bittendes Kind (Pleading Child), D major Gluckes genug (Happiness), D major Wichtige Begebenheit (An Important Event), A major Traumerei (Reverie), F major Am Kamin (At the Fireside), F major Ritter vom Steckenpferd (Knight of the Hobbyhorse), C major Fast zu ernst (Almost Too Serious), G-sharp minor Furchtenmachen (Frightening), E minor Kind im Einschlummern (Child Falling Asleep), E minor Der Dichter spricht (The Poet Speaks), G major
Traumerei is one of Schumann’s best known pieces. It was the title of a 1944 German biopic on Robert Schumann. Traumerei is the love song for Robert and Clara Schumann in the 1947 Hollywood film Song of Love, starring Katherine Hepburn as Clara Wiek Schumann.
This full transcription of the complete ’Scenes From Childhood’ is available for Wind Quintet and Clarinet Ensemble in my store. Cherry Classics in Canada publish the complete version for Brass Quintet.
