Wilhelm Peterson-Berger (1867-1942), Östersund, Sweden) was a Swedish composer and music critic. As a composer, his main musical influences were Grieg and Wagner as well as Swedish folk idiom. The flute arrangement has been transposed to Eb major (from Gb major) to fit the flutes range better. The audio file is from the violin and piano arrangement in the original key Gb Major.

Sommarsang from Frösöblomster is one of my favourite works from Peterson-Berger
and I have played it often with a string orchestra.
Now I have been looking for another work from Peterson-Berger and I found "Vid Frösö kyrka" to play both works in a concert.
But an arrangement for string quartett didn't sound good, so I saw on Youtube a Version for Flute and Piano, played by Kajsa Nilsson. So I looked for an arrangement and found
this version, arranged by K. Krantz. It's sounds perfect and is a good partner for the Orchestra version from Sommarsang. Thanks for the good notation! 10/10 Awesome
Dear Mr. Höfer,
Thanks for your kind review! I have reworked this arrangement a little. The main difference is that the violin and piano play in unison in the first part in my new arrangement. Some chords doesn't sound quite right without the top melody note. It's a matter of taste. I have also arranged this piece for violin and piano and for string quartet. I have also made a complete arr. for violin/flute and piano of Frösöblomster by Peterson-Berger and a selection for string quartet.
Kind regards, Klas Krantz
