This is a Modern Romantic Waltz in a largely ternary form. I wanted it to feel very French in style as romance was the key feature in this composition.
I've used some French and even some jazzier type chords such as minor 9th's, Major 7th's, 7th's with flat 5th etc within the piece to keep the harmonies interesting, but aimed to keep a gentle melody flowing throughout. The piece should be played with a good amount of rubato with plenty of emotion.
The whole score is on the youtube link you to asses suitability, but I have set it to Intermediate level/Associated Board grade 6. It is around 4 minutes in length.
Ideal for Concerts, Recitals, Weddings, Valentines, Background Music, Events etc. It is also available for other combinations of instruments in duet form.
