V Lesu Rodilas Yolochka (A Little Pine Tree is Born In The Forest) is a Russian traditional song sung by little children at New Year. It's a simple but attractive little tune, and I used it to compose a set of choral variations, after hearing my daughter singing it when she was a little girl.
