The performance can either use the backing track which is available or you can program the synths to play the loops and sequence sections themselves. This combination of instruments creates interesting sound possibilities which I’ve tried to exploit in the piece. The music takes the fantastic soundtrack for The Terminator as its starting point and weaves a complex web of sections, each characterised by its relentless repeating rhythms which some epitomised the movie, The sound world conjures up the Electronic age of the synthesizer in the 80’s and has the same relentless drive as the robot in the movie.
