This is a really weird piece composed for my orchestration class. This was actually the first assignment composing for everyone; I took some liberties here including brass clusters, clarinet multiphonics, and the awesome detached-cymbal-on-timpani thing.

The title refers to a train system that is being planned for Oahu. At the time of composition I believe the train was going to start at an empty field and end at another empty lot (which is supposed to begin development by the time this part of the train is finished), not passing through any "notable" cities or areas. Critics thus labelled it the "Train to Nowhere." But here, I just wanted to be weird. And I would love to have rail in Hawaii, even if it initially doesn't go anywhere useful to me.
