So, for inspiration, I used the great, luscious city of Toledo, Spain.
Therefore, this solo trumpet piece is aplenty with Spanish motifs, and, I remember, upon performing, halfway through I ran out of air, dropped the F bomb, and quickly quipped, "That's Spanish for hello." You don't have to do that, mind you.
This piece is good for trumpet students, because it has much contrast both in tempo and dynamics, as well as range.
