This is a homage to the romantic film composers of the forties and fifties, especially Richard Addinsell, who filled our eyes with tears and our ears with thousands of notes ("Too many notes, my dear Mozart"). Because they are not cuirrently fashionable, I thought I’d write it for an unfashionable instrument - the viola.
