These THREE POSTCARDS were written for the St.Nicholas-At-Wade Concerts in Kent. The idea of the Postcards is to set an atmosphere or impression in a short piece, just as one writes as much information as one can on a postcard. This first was a tune that came to me while walking in New York. See also Oboe and Piano!
