You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This is the third of ’Three Hymns to Our Lady’: new tunes for well-known Marian hymns.
The music may be sung to the 9th-century Latin words (found in full in the Liber Usualis), the first verse of which is given here. The music is more usually sung to Athelstan Riley’s English translation (found in the New English Hymnal).
This hymn has been sung many times, both liturgically and in concert performances, and it led to the commissioning of my two hymn-tunes that appear in ’The Hymns and Letters of Ann Griffiths’, published by Stainer & Bell. In turn, those tunes led to my being invited to contribute music to Marjorie Dobson’s ’Multi-Coloured Maze’.
