Three Cheers For Larry. A few months ago I received an email from a high school friend, Phillip Patterson, who I hadn�t seen in over 40 years. I was thrilled to hear from him and learned that he is a writer. He sent me a very funny story that he wrote, which is partly based in fact on events that occurred in his hometown. I decided to put it to music, which was a challenge because there were nine verses and no repeating chorus.
