The Weaver is a Modern Reel in the key of G minor in ternary form. The reel is a traditional bright dance originating from Scotland, but reels goes back to the middle ages. This original piece like nearly all reels, is in 2/2 time which may be a good introduction to early intermediate students.
It also has only quarter and eighth notes throughout with the occasional half-note so rhythmically quite simple! The instrumental ranges are 2 octaves and the complete score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability.
Intermediate- instrumental parts are 3 pages, piano 6, and it is around 3 minutes in length.
