A lyrical retelling of the famous nursery rhyme for baritone and piano.

(Forces: bar, pn)

‘The Star’ was written first for Tim Torry, as a song for Baritone and Piano. It represents a ‘dark night of the soul’. Building on the words of Jane and Ann Taylor, and the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, this reimagining of the famous poem and French folk-song, takes artistic liberty with a Twenty-first Century twist.
