I submitted it originally as an entry for the 2007 Adagio Contest of the Fauxharmonic Orchestra (without the harpsichord part), but when all participants were asked to resubmit their works, I then presented the piece titled "Melancholy" that I had written later, because I thought that it would fit the guidelines better.
