This ever-popular extract from Handel's Messiah oratorio is easily playable by most middle - and high-school level groups. Arranged here for string quartet, each part has its moments to shine through the texture. The cello mostly carries the ground bass, driving the piece forward and allowing the other parts to express themselves as much as possible.
