John Rice is a talented and versatile poet who visited our school to take poetry workshops. This is the first of his poems which I set to music for our school choir to perform.
The children love the 'disgusting' lyrics, and always find it a great 'fun' piece to perform at a concert. It has been performed by several childrens' choirs in South East England recently.
As a complete contrast, you might like to try my setting of John's "Autumn Song".
