The Earle of Oxford's Marche is one the the more well known pieces found in the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book (a unique collection of Keyboard works from the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods). It has been well arranged and embellished many time for larger ensembles but I have tried to keep this version a little more true the original keyboard manuscript.
This arrangement is for 1 Eb (with alternative Bb part provided), 4 Bbs, 1 Alto (with alternative Bb part), 1 Bass with optional 2nd Bass, Contra Alto and Contra Bass parts, so a minimum requirements of 6 Bbs and 1 Basses.
