This is a fantastic brisk and energetic Welsh reel, and a traditional dance tune with drive and substance. In D Dorian mode (D scale, no #'s or b's) which gives it an ancient and grounding melodic quality. LH mainly features drone-like accompaniment. The melody is quite active, even athletic–good knowledge of placing and crossing is helpful in the ability to play this piece up to speed. To easily extend the arrangement, repeat, playing the A part up an octave, then revisit its original octave to finish. No accidentals. Requires a harp going to low low A.
