Movements I and V of The Clash of Mars and Venus were directly inspired by Power and Paradise. The ideas for Power and Paradise were inspired by Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring and Olivier Messiaen's Turangalila Symphonie. Movements II and III of Mars and Venus are expansions of small ensemble works written while I was studying at Oxford Brookes University. Movement IV is an expansion of the third movement of my Partita Concerto for Flute and String Orchestra.

It would be appreciated if I could be informed of any performances.

Many Thanks.
