This arrangement is a solo for B flat cornet accompanied by piano. The piece begins with the well-known tune and then there are 4 variations and a cadenza. Brass players may recognise the cadenza as being from the "Arban Tutor" (or Cornet Method). Of course, the soloist is free to substitute a cadenza of their choice.
