This composition was written for the famous Collage New Music Ensemble of Boston with a 45-year history of performing new music, especially of living composers. In this piece aspects of Armenian (Eastern) musical language plays hide and seek with aspects of Western musical language. Sometimes it is hard to know which is which when. This technique is one that I have adapted in many of my compositions which reflects my dual background and heritage, east and west.
