Although much of the movement uses technique and style derived from that used in the late sixteenth century, it also demonstrates how a simple musical pattern with the intervals extended can sound utterly different even though the patterns remain the same, and that even small changes to the music can transform it's apparent historical period. The music is also translated into different modes of limited transposition from time to time.
