It is also a great way to teach basic jazz swing in the school setting. There is a lot of flexibility as far as different instruments/parts go. An optional 3rd clarinet part is included to be used if there is no E-flat alto clarinet available. An optional E-flat contra alto clarinet part is included that can be used in place of the B-flat contrabass clarinet. Finally, the entire ensemble can be performed without either a contrabass or contra alto clarinet if the bass clarinet reads the B-flat contrabass part.
