These five pieces were written slowly over about a year and a half in 1977/78, when I was making an intensive study of guitar playing and transcription for the guitar. "Hommage to Granados" was performed by myself at a Rotherham Classical Guitar Society concert. "In the Lydian Mode" was performed by myself at the Students Concert Cannington 1980. These pieces have been played many times in the north of England since then.
