Nicholas Strogers was an English composer who flourished between 1560 and 1575. He was parish clerk at St Dunstan in the West in London and responsible for the music there. His Fantasia is one of a handful of his compositions to have survived, and is found in the rich keyboard treasury that is the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book.
This arrangement for brass quintet has yet to be performed. Would love to hear from anyone who takes it on!
