String quartet No. 3, in four movements: Allegro Molto Marcato, Andante Cantabile, Scherzo and Rondo-Finale. This quartet is a happy song of farewell to my Catalan youth, so a sunny mood tinged with nostalgia prevails over this composition. The first movement represents Catalonia with its beautiful landscapes, dominated by the blue Mediterranean Sea, and the memories of my childhood there. The second movement represents young dreams and the first, lost love. The third movement, Scherzo, is a memory of the happy wanderings with friends doing pranks in the long and warm summer holidays in S’Agaró. The final movement is the feeling of joy of remembering these good times like passing images in a film, contrasting with the shadows of being separated from my homeland and missing my dear departed parents, ending with a final thanksgiving for having been granted such wonderful memories and having met such wonderful people there.
