This was the first movement of the Quartet to be composed. The theme was inspired by the music of Poulenc - particularly his Mouvement Perpetuel. It was played through by an RAM Quartet in practice. A performance was given in Bermuda c1995 in St Andrew’s Scottish Episcopal Church. All four movements were recorded in 2014 by Steve Jones who played all four parts .
