You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices. This quartet is based on classical/romantic models. It has been performed several times by the University of Redlands String Quartet, Western Society of Chamber Music String Quartet, and Cuatro Puntos String Quartet.
Mvt. 4, Allegro (F major). Like the first movement, the finale uses sonata form. The subordinate theme is merely a transformation of the syncopations from the opening theme. The development is marked by an abrupt shift of tonality up a semitone, followed by a busier texture than the exposition. In the recapitulation, the opening theme is further varied in different ways, commencing in a pedal tone and cadence on the tonic, and ending with a teasing coda.
The live mp3 is a recording of the Cuatro Puntos String Quartet, 11/23/2013: Aaron Packard, violin Annie Trepanier, violin Kevin Bishop, viola Pablo Issa Skaric, cello
