This piece was composed while I was fiddling with different ideas on the piano. My goal was to create something classical, but modernized in a sense. I started playing the first few notes and, liking the dissonance, developed it some more and continued until I had completed the piece. The style somewhat resembles that of Samuel Barber and I consider it one of my best works yet.
The only thing I would change about this piece would be the length. I realize it is extremely short, which is why I have it temporarily titled as a prelude.
