This is a new edition of the original MS. Mrs. Streicher was a good friend of Beethoven and possibly had a few lessons in composition from him. She helped out with his domestic chores (she did his washing etc.). She was married to a famous Viennese piano maker - another good friend to Beethoven, and was a piano maker herself, having inherited her fathers company (nee Stein).
