A Piano Trio written for my wife, who I had just started dating at the time. This work captures my journey into a new relationship that helped me move past a brutal one I had very recently abandoned. The two of us began connecting after laying under the stars one evening while attending Indiana University Southeast, and if not for her I may still be feeling a lot of the trauma from my past and would have found it very difficult to move on. To date, many of my friends and colleagues consider this to be one of my best works yet. It also won a composition contest at Michigan State University a year after its completion.
