This was originally written in 1967 as a recessional Wedding March for two family friends, and first played in St Andrew’s Church, Plymouth, which was granted Minster status in 2009.

The Minster Church of St Andrew has a particularly fine organ and so the first ’airing’ was a particularly impressive affair. The march has since been used for a number of weddings across the UK.

The march was renamed ’St Andrew’s March’ earlier in 2010, and this is the first arrangement for piano. It would especially suit those venues where an electronic piano/organ keyboard is the only available instrument - or, of course, just as a standalone march in its own right.
