It is musical poetry expressing the internal and the external. One part of the music clearly denotes travel, such as curving around mountain roads, passing through a tunnel and then emerging into a beautiful landscape. The travel could be symbolic as well. The bell tolls in this music just as the bells toll in our lives. This work is dedicated to my parents, Claire and Don.
It is in rondo form. Suggested fingerings are written in the violin parts.
