This is a large piece that I originally began writing one year ago. The sketches have lingered for quite some time, so I've finally decided to finish what I have started. A good friend and composer, Robert Avalon, recently died and encouraged me a great deal to continue composing. He was the first to play from manuscripts this movement. This is my attempt at writing for solo instrument and a difficult level, experiementing with tonalities and rhythms. My taste in composition have matured over the years, but this is an early rememberence of my past. Future pieces will show more maturity, naturally. This is one of four movements.
