This piece for solo violoncello in rather modern style is dedicated to Benoît Stroh who premiered in Paris on April 29, 2009. It makes use of advanced techniques like col legno, or left-hand pizzicato, and atonal harmony, but is based on the devlopment of simple melodic cells that the ear can follow easily.
