This is a straight-forward arrangement of Handel's famous chorus from "Judas Maccabeus". While an exuberant expression of praise enjoyed by any choir that sings it, this chorus is frequently passed over as a worship anthem because the original text makes little sense taken out of the context of the oratorio. In this arrangement, I have provided an original introduction in Handeliam style which showcases the organ's reeds, a keyboard-friendly accompaniment based on the original orchestration and a singable, appropriate text of praise that can be used for general worship purposes. The original text of the anthem is also provided so that choirs may have a choice. Happy singing! The purchase price includes the right to make sufficient copies for your choir on a one-time basis.
