Sinfonias No.1-15, BWV.787-801, are known as three part inventions for keyboard. Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) composed these short pieces for educational purposes. It was not only for practice of playing keyboards but also for ""acquiring a strong foretaste of composition."" All of them are full of musical charm. They are very good educational materials for players other than keyboard players.
In this version for young cellists, some of the fast passages in the bass part were transferred to Viola part.
