Each Christmas, out comes the ubiquitous "100 Carols for Choirs". However, a number of years ago, it struck me that whilst one of the most famous carols in existence - 'Silent Night' - was included, the arrangement was not a simple one, and certainly not one that an audience could join in with, should they wish.
I therefore wrote my own, simple harmonisation of 'Silent Night'. The part writing is straight forward, the tune is unchanged, and can therefore be sung by an audience if desired. The piano part can be used, or it can be sung unaccompanied.
An orchestrated version of the piano part is also available separately.
