This was first performed in a recital by Helen Tordoff (flute) and Clive Jenkins piano) at Emmanuel Church, Plymouth UK in October 2000.
It is essentially romantic in conception, beginning with a lyrical siciliano in G minor, followed by a brisk allegro in the tonic major.
The accompanying MP3 file is a recording by flautist, Anne Kimber, and myself, at at Composers’ Recital at Plymouth City Museum in April 2003. Unfortunately, the opening few bars were missed off the recording, but there's still more than enough there to give you a flavour of the work, and to recognise what a fine player Anne is - as well as a really good friend!
