"Seven" is but a brief look at the conflict between the nature of sin and our ability to withstand both its rigour and its seductive guises. How an every day battle is fought, and often lost, against the power of sinning.
The piece sets a text written by Kieran Garland, a good friend of mine. It was sung through by the BBC Singers in May 2003 and I have uploaded the recording of this workshop as an MP3. Unfortunately there are piano chords throughout the recording as the rehearsal pianist was helping the singers with their pitching due to lack of rehearsal time.
