I made friends with some members of the concert band North Miami Pops and assisted at their rehearsals which impressed me in such a way that I felt motivated to arrange the third movement of my First Symphony from 1965 for them so that they could play it. I have in mind to prepare even more compositions of mine for them. On Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025, the piece went to its first rehearsal. In another five years it would reach retirement age, and not even in its faintest dreams did it think about being put to work again.
