"Sasquatcher" is the first solo classical guitar piece in the "Sasquatch" series, NOT to be confused with any of my other sinister series, that pay tribute to Fiends (not friends) and other horrible beasts of the night and to the marvelous influences, much to many's dismay and chagrin, they have had on my person and my composing.

The Sasquatch is a stupid beast fabricated and perpetuated by stupid people. The music is entirely fitting.

The excerpt begins at m. 1 with a unsettling E Dorian figure which pits 10/16 against 3/8. The first 4 bars alone will require an abundance of patience to master. Then comes a transitional passage where the E Dorian bass motif remains constant while the upper voice creates dissonance through clashing harmonics. At m. 9, a new texture and mood is achieved through altering both voices slightly. Now the tonal center is more nebulous - perhaps an altered-Dorian feel….

The "Sasquatch" series has little in common thematically with the other series yet the music creates a similar sinister and haunting aura. I sincerely hope that you enjoy this piece as well as the other "Sasquatch" pieces.
