Miniature piece informed by an ongoing research on extended techniques and their application to clarinet solo music. This composition is loosely based upon the form of the Rondo and alternates a "ritornello", made of a short idea, with sections that include a different sound effect every time (multi-phonics, growling, quarter-tones, glissando) including a short section marked "alla tarantella" where the performer plays the rhythm of the tarantella with his/her foot. This piece was premiered at St Martin in the Fields in London in 2010 for their "New Music Series" and featured on the critically acclaimed CD "Partenope", More on www.lucaluciano.com
