I think it is very suitable for an amateur production and for untrained voices, requiring just 13 voices and a chamber orchestra. I have used only Shakespeare’s text (50% reduced), so there is no messing around with the story. The total length of the piece is about 2 hours 10 min, including spoken sections of text. My musical style originates from singing plainchant in school years, sweetened by renaissance and baroque choral music more recently. I would be very happy to discuss difficulties and potential changes with any director.
