Programme notes:
There are 3 variations of the tune, the first and 3rd are similar iun style with the 3rd having a subtle shift in rhythm. The 2nd movement is a more significate change, changing the time signature
Each variation is linked with different themes that create further interest.
Many of the articulation on the Bb Cornet part have been left out with the intention of allowing the soloist to add their own style to the piece. Please explore options to create your own unique performance of this music, as it is after all a solo.
