One of my old choir members once told me that this sounded like an old-time hymn. And she liked it, she meant it as a compliment. I can see what she was saying, and being a fan of old time hymns, I'm happy to get that assessment! I actually performed this at a retirement facility with that in mind and I remember the people catching on and singing along by the end. Which is our job on Sunday morning anyway.
