This is a march with a little of the flavor of a tone poem and is dedicated to my father who was a wonderful musician. I sugest that you have at least 3 piccolos play that part not just one. The whole composition sounds better played with less forte than many bands can generate.
This first section of this piece has been re-written to be more in character with the rest of the piece!
