For this composition I very much wanted it to be a flute and clarinet duet rather than a heavier weighted part, so the parts are pretty equally divided. It is romantic in nature.
It is placed at early intermediate level, about associated board grade 4 Written in concert C major-The Flute range is limited to two octaves C- top C (Clarinet D to D)and the most complicated rhythm is that of a pair of quavers so it is very suitable for students of most abilities.
It is very suitable for all types of occasion, concerts, weddings, recitals, incidental music etc.. There are 3 instrumental pages per part and the piano part has 6 pages- 4 minutes in length. It is set at early intermediate level but the whole score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability.A flute duet, Clarinet duet and a Violin duet version are also available.
