This was written for a group of recorder players at primary school where I worked, who were exceptional. I wrote it for them, not expecting them to master it, but of course they did (so well that we recorded it and performed it in concert). We used Sopranino recorders because they were suitably piercing to tame the piano, but Trebles are perfectly acceptable. Just be aware that the piano part is busy and requires large hands! The recording here is from a Sibelius recording.
