In this little string quartet with its three movements , the number 6 will be apparent in the 6 beats bar division.

It happens so that the composition is just about 6 minutes of duration. So it is a bit of a play on the number 6, (Hex).
As a composer I have been inspired by North Indian raga music and the blues scale.
The three movements are different in character.
The first movement shifts gradually to slower tempo, and will be played in different pulse rates.
Then follows the second slow and meditative movement.
Pulse Hex quartet ends in a somewhat blues inspired character, with a sensitive playful development between the wind instruments and the the string instruments playing in pizzicato.
